Activity 11

Read the stories below and write down your comments and thoughts.

I teach IT in high school and some of my pupils befriended me on Facebook. Yesterday, I noticed that one of my students joined a group called “Legalise Marijuana”. Even though I have no direct evidence, I cannot help but wonder if he is using it. Should I have a word with his mum and dad or maybe it’s just nothing and I should keep this to myself?

I happen to have pupils among my Facebook friends, but only if they are already the age to have activated a profile. In the past I read some notifications about some activities that I didn't like and I gave some advice. Specifically, joining a group, could indicate only a form of curiosity, so I would not worry too much

I want to be a journalist when I leave school, and nowadays you absolutely need to have an online presence. However, I make sure that I only share information that I want people to know and that will show them all the positive aspects of my project. The more people who follow me the better a reputation I will have, people will start to listen – that’s the beauty of the Internet – when things go viral there’s no stopping them.
I believe that social life should fully reflect real life, without falsity, but paying attention to the privacy of what you publish and to those who can see. I am a teacher always, in real life and on social networks and therefore what I publish is what really interests me and many times it coincides with my professional goals, with what I strongly believe in and also my students can read

As a recruiter in my company, I am looking almost daily for new people to come and work for us. Of course, our selection is mainly based on a person’s motivation letter, job résumé, education and skills. However, before inviting someone for an interview, we search their name on Google and in social networking sites. The image we get from people’s pictures, online activities, published content and other information written about them will also play a major role in our decision.
I'm not afraid of what I publish just this reflects what I really am and I think

Share one or more pictures that illustrate comfort and well-being at a school – preferably from your own school or a school you know of. You can add pictures of classrooms, of other spaces at school outside the classroom, or just of small details or parts. Also, explain why you think what you see on your picture contributes to comfort and well-being.

This is a picture of one of my classroom. The other class in the school are traditional. When I enter this class I am more motivated to teach because I feel a vitality and a desire to learn by the pupils that in other classes I do not feel.
Activity 4

Do a web search and post a picture of an attractive learning space (classroom, school area). Describe how this space could give an additional pedagogical value.

I'd like to have my own class to teach. Inside there would be all the scientific and technological instruments that could allow me to use them at the right time, depending on the educational activity to be carried out. This image I found is the one closest to the classroom I would like to use. A big table to discuss together and the corners for group work
Activity 6
Design a space for individual, group or plenary learning. Describe what type of activity(-ies) could take place in your design. No need to design a whole classroom or school!
I have created an environment in which it is easy to build, in all its phases, from the design of an artifact to the actual realization
Activity 5
Watch https://youtu.be/RtoiCaOW5ho. - Do the 4 principles of organizing a lesson mentioned in the video, correspond to how you do it? Do you also integrate multiple pedagogies? Do you give the learners ownership on the tools, both analogue and digital? Do you, as a teacher, take on the role of a coach as well? - Write a short reflection on the ideas promoted in the video. Is this the way you want to teach? Are there obstacles?
What is described in the video is the way I try to teach in one of my classes. It has modular desks, which allow me to organize the learning environment. The students use the school tablets, but only when the technologies are useful for the purpose to be achieved. I often only coordinate the activities, which are done by the students themselves. The only obstacle I encounter comes from colleagues who find the class very noisy and not inclined to work according to traditional teaching methods.
